Tracks for the Journey is a channel dedicated to your well-being. I’m Larry Payne, the host, and I’d like to explain how you can benefit from joining me to enrich your journey through life.

My Tracks for the Journey Network enhances well-being with insights and inspiration from progressive Christian spirituality, positive psychology, and justice ethics. Progressive Christian spirituality is founded on God’s essential love, all-pervasive presence, collaboration with all creatures to create the future, and connections to all faith traditions. Another vital resource is Positive Psychology that enables people to thrive with evidence-based mental health and relationship strategies. The component of justice ethics develops thriving communities for all people. These sources interact with my 50 years of professional experience as a pastor, hospital chaplain, and licensed counselor to connect with where you are in life.

I invite you to explore all the network resources on my website. Go to www.tracksforthejourney.com. The home page offers links to the blog, podcast, videos, community, and newsletter.

All of us want to live with well-being. What is that for the TFJ Network? It begins with self-awareness, the quality of knowing your thoughts and emotions. This is more than looking in the mirror to see if your hair looks good! Think of self-awareness as looking in the mirror for your hairstyle and then asking, “Why do I want to look good today? What am I feeling just now that affects my choices?”

Well-being also means having quality relationships. Humans are social beings. Everything we think or feel is impacted by our social context. It’s important to build connections of love, trust, support, and empathy that promote our well-being. Yes, your hairstyle is a cultural expression, either to fit in with the current style, or maybe to do something unique and edgy.

One more area of well-being is spirituality. Well-being here is living with high ethical values, such as integrity, justice, empathy, and love. For many, this involves engagement in a vital faith tradition that promotes these values and inspires action. And you guessed it, your belief system influences your hairstyle!

The Tracks for the Journey Network offers multiple channels to inspire and inform. Youtube has four playlists to meet your needs. You can watch Building a Better World, Practicing Positive Psychology, Spirituality for Well-Being, or Fast Tracks for Well-Being. Each episode is also a podcast available through your favorite provider, like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google, or Buzzsprout. The TRACKS EXPRESS newsletter brings resources directly to your inbox weekly. The Signposts blog on the website expands your understanding. The Trackers Facebook community connects us for lively discussions.

I hope you will be a subscriber to the Network through any of these channels. Tracks for the Journey is dedicated to your well-being. So, join me on this journey today!
